Article 3 (Effect and Amendment of the Terms) 1. These Terms take effect upon being posted on the Service screen. 2. The Company may amend these Terms to the extent that doing so does not violate applicable laws; in the event of an amendment, the Company will give notice at least 7 days in advance (30 days in advance for amendments that are unfavorable to users or material), stating the effective date and the reason for the amendment. 3. Where the Company, when giving notice of amended Terms, has also clearly stated that "failure to express refusal within the notice period will be deemed consent," and the user does not expressly refuse within that period, the user is deemed to have consented to the amended Terms. A user who does not consent to the amended Terms may discontinue use of the Service and withdraw membership.
Article 4 (Membership Registration and Accounts) 1. Users register through Google OAuth sign-in, and the Company receives the user's name, email address and profile identifier from Google. 2. Members must not allow third parties to use their accounts, and members are responsible for consequences arising from failure to manage their accounts properly. 3. The Company may refuse or restrict use in cases of misappropriation of another person's information, violation of laws or these Terms, or interference with the operation of the Service. 4. The essential nature of the Service is the delivery of summary content by email or messenger, and members are deemed, upon registration, to be aware of this and to consent to such delivery. Members may change whether and by what means they receive deliveries at any time in the settings within the Service. For the free plan, advertisements may be included in the delivered content or on the Service screens. Advertisements may include affiliate links, and where a user purchases goods or services through such links, the Company may receive an affiliate commission.
Article 5 (Provision and Modification of the Service) 1. The Company provides AI summarization and delivery of new videos from subscribed channels (by email or messenger), real-time breaking-news alerts (paid), viewing of summary records, and other services. 2. The Company may modify the content, methods and scope of the Service as required for operational or technical reasons, with prior notice. 3. Differences in functions and usage limits between the free and paid plans are as set out in the plan information within the Service.
Article 6 (Suspension of the Service) 1. The Service may be temporarily suspended for reasons such as maintenance, malfunction, loss of communications, or natural disaster. 2. Services provided free of charge may be modified, suspended or changed in accordance with the Company's policy, and no separate compensation is provided unless otherwise specifically required by applicable law. 3. The Service depends on third-party services such as YouTube and AI summarization engines, and delivery of summaries may be delayed or unavailable due to changes in third-party policies, failures or suspensions; the Company is not liable for this in the absence of willful misconduct or gross negligence.
Article 7 (Paid Services and Payment) 1. The fees, payment methods (auto-renewing subscription and one-time passes) and subscription periods for the paid plan (Pro) are as posted on the pricing page. 2. For an auto-renewing subscription, fees are charged automatically until cancellation. Where a one-time pass (one-month pass) is purchased, the subscription period runs for 30 days from the expiry date of any valid remaining subscription period at the time of payment, or from the date of payment where no such period remains. 3. Users may cancel auto-renewal at any time; upon cancellation, charging stops from the next payment date and the Service is maintained through the period already paid for. 4. The Pro trial is provided for 7 days, begins without registering a payment method, and does not result in automatic payment upon its conclusion, at which point the account reverts to the free plan. The Pro trial is provided once per user and is not provided again even where the user withdraws membership and registers again. 5. Members may request withdrawal of subscription (a refund) within 7 days from the date of payment. However, where, after payment, a summary digest has been delivered at least once, or use of a paid-only feature such as real-time breaking-news alerts has commenced, the provision of digital content is deemed to have begun and the right of withdrawal may be restricted pursuant to Article 17(2) of the Act on the Consumer Protection in Electronic Commerce, Etc. (전자상거래법); the Company gives prior notice of this on the payment screen. Detailed standards and procedures are governed by the separate "Refund Policy."

Article 8-2 (Sharing Feature and Management of Shared Content) 1. The Company provides a feature that allows users to add a note to a summary, generate a public link, and share it with third parties (the "sharing feature"). A share link is a public page that can be viewed without signing in, and it expires after a certain period from its creation (the expiry period is set out on the Service screens). 2. Users must use the sharing feature within a personal, non-commercial scope, and must not include the following in the notes or other information they enter when sharing ("shared content"): (i) content that exposes another person's personal information or infringes their privacy; (ii) content that disparages or insults another person or damages their reputation; (iii) content that infringes another person's copyright or other rights; (iv) content that violates applicable laws or public order and morals, such as obscene or violent expressions; and (v) content that does not accord with the purpose of the Service, such as advertising or promotion. 3. Responsibility for shared content lies with the user who created and shared it, and the Company does not review user-created shared content in advance. 4. Anyone may request the deletion or blocking of shared content through the reporting function on the share page or by contacting support@dailyvideodigest.com. 5. Where the Company receives a report under paragraph 4 or becomes aware of a violation of paragraph 2, it may take necessary measures without prior notice, such as deleting the shared content or making the share link private, and it may notify the relevant user of the measure and the reason for it after the fact. 6. The Company may retain the contents of the shared content as at the time a report was received, together with the record of the report, in order to handle the report and verify repeated violations; the details of such processing are governed by the Privacy Policy. 7. Where a user repeatedly violates paragraph 2, or where a violation is serious, the Company may restrict use of the sharing feature or terminate the service agreement in accordance with Article 11.
Article 9 (Content and Intellectual Property) 1. Summaries are AI-generated works based on original works of third parties (such as YouTube creators), and the rights in those original works belong to the respective copyright holders. 2. Users may use summaries for personal, non-commercial purposes only. 3. Intellectual property rights in the Service, including trademarks, designs and software, belong to the Company.
Article 10 (Limitation of Liability) 1. AI summaries may differ from the original or be inaccurate, and the Company does not warrant their completeness or accuracy. For important decisions, please be sure to check the original video. 2. The Company is not liable for delay or failure of performance due to force majeure, such as natural disasters or failures of third-party services. 3. The Company bears no liability with respect to services provided free of charge, unless otherwise specifically required by applicable law. 4. The Company is not liable for damages arising from delayed or unavailable summaries caused by changes to the YouTube platform's API provision policy, API call limits, service blocking, or by policy changes, failures or suspensions on the part of external suppliers such as AI summarization engines or transcript extraction services, in the absence of willful misconduct or gross negligence on the part of the Company.
Article 11 (Termination and Withdrawal) 1. Users may terminate the service agreement at any time using the withdrawal function within the Service. 2. Upon withdrawal, the account and personal information are handled in accordance with the Privacy Policy. 3. Where a user violates these Terms, the Company may terminate the agreement after prior notice (or after the fact in urgent cases).
Article 12 (Governing Law and Jurisdiction) 1. These Terms are governed by the laws of the Republic of Korea. 2.
