Refund Policy

Effective date: 2026-07-14

Article 1 (Purpose) This Policy sets out the standards and procedures for refunds of payments for paid passes for Daily Video Digest (the "Service").

Article 2 (Pro Trial) 1. The Service provides the Pro trial once per user (per individual), and it is not provided again even where the user withdraws membership and registers again. Where it is confirmed that a user has improperly repeated the Pro trial, for example by creating multiple accounts, the Company may restrict that account's use of the Service. 2. No payment arises in connection with the Pro trial, and it is not subject to refund. 3. Users may confirm the paid features through the trial before deciding whether to make a payment.

Article 3 (Refund Standards) The following applies equally to auto-renewing subscriptions and one-time passes. 1. Full refund available: where the request is made within 7 days from the date of payment and, after payment, no summary digest has been delivered even once and use of paid-only features such as real-time breaking-news alerts has not commenced either (the Service has not been used). 2. Refund restricted: where, after payment, a summary digest has been delivered at least once, or use of a paid-only feature such as real-time breaking-news alerts has commenced, the provision of digital content is deemed to have begun and no refund is available; no refund is available once 7 days have elapsed from the date of payment either. However, where content was delivered irrespective of the user's intention due to a system error on the part of the Company, this is not regarded as use of the Service. 3. These standards are based on the provisions on withdrawal of subscription under the Act on the Consumer Protection in Electronic Commerce, Etc. (전자상거래법), and the Company gives prior notice that the right of withdrawal may be restricted where content has been provided (delivered, or its use has commenced). 4. Whether "delivery of a summary digest" and "commencement of use of a paid-only feature" under paragraphs 1 and 2 have occurred is determined by whether there is a record that a summary digest or a real-time breaking-news alert was successfully delivered to the member by email or messenger at least once after the relevant payment. Delivery records predating the payment (including deliveries during the Pro trial period), and delivery records arising from deliveries executed by the Company at its own initiative for purposes such as maintenance or error response, are not counted. 5. The 7-day period under paragraph 1 is counted from the day following the date of payment, and members may request a refund until 24:00 (Korea Standard Time) on the seventh day from that starting day. 6. A refund applies to the member's single most recent payment. Earlier payments are not eligible for a refund, as the period under paragraph 1 has already elapsed for them.

Article 4 (Cancellation of Auto-Renewal) 1. Auto-renewal may be canceled at any time. 2. Upon cancellation, charging stops from the next payment date and the Service is maintained through the period already paid for. 3. Where auto-renewal is canceled during a subscription period that has already been paid for, no pro-rated refund is provided for the remaining period, and the member may continue to use the paid plan until the expiry date of the subscription period paid for. A refund where the Service has not been used after payment is governed by Article 3(1). The same applies to a mid-term refund of a one-time pass. 4. Where a refund is made, the 30-day subscription period granted by that payment is deducted from the member's subscription period, and where no period remains after the deduction, the paid plan ends immediately and the account is switched to the free plan. Even where one-time passes have been purchased consecutively so that subscription periods run on from one another, only the 30 days corresponding to the refunded payment are deducted and the remaining period is retained. Where an auto-renewing subscription is refunded, auto-renewal is canceled at the same time.

Article 5 (Refund Procedure) 1. Refund requests may be submitted through the refund function within the Service or to support@dailyvideodigest.com. 2. Where a request submitted through the refund function within the Service satisfies the requirements of Article 3, the Company processes it immediately and requests cancellation of the payment from the payment gateway (PG). 3. For other requests, the Company verifies the grounds for the refund within 3 business days from the date of receipt and proceeds with cancellation of the payment or the refund procedure in accordance with the payment method and the policies of the payment gateway (PG). 4. As a rule, refunds are made to the original payment method, and it may take several days for the refund to be reflected, depending on the processing periods of the payment gateway and the card issuer.

Article 6 (Exceptions) Where a user has been unable to use the Service normally due to a cause attributable to the Company, such as a serious service failure, the Company may provide a refund or an extension of the subscription period within a reasonable scope, irrespective of the standards in Article 3.
